Support for Co-operatives in the North West
MBA are a Co-operative Development Body and have been delivering advice and guidance to new and established co-operatives since 2010 as part of a NW Consortium.
We think co-operatives are special businesses. They are member owned, democratically controlled and have values and principles at their core.
Increasingly communities across the country are recognising these benefits and are turning to co-operatively owned solutions for local businesses and services.
The Co-operative Enterprise Hub are not currently accepting new applications. Please pop back in September 2014 when they will hopefully be able to provide a fuller update.
Support for infrastructure organisations
MBA are an approved BIG Assist supplier and offer IOs a wide range of support and opportunities to voluntary sector infrastructure organisations, prioritising those that are ready and needing to implement change.
This could mean they are developing new services, new ideas and products or new innovative ways of working, developing new more sustainable income, new partnerships, consortia or mergers.
Support can be financial help, in the form of a voucher, towards support services or it may be through the peer to peer support community that allows infrastructure organisations to share and learn from one another both online and offline. For this reason, even those who are not awarded vouchers will still be able to benefit from the programme by learning from the experience of other organisations.
